These days, the demand for medical assistants is increasing. But what does medical assistant actually do? A medical assistant can do both administrative and medical tasks that do not need much medical proficiency. Tasks entailed in medical assisting vary with the type of health care facility, size, location and specialization. However, a medical assistant does require a set of skill to perform the tasks. Therefore, well-trained medical assistants are more favorable for the healthcare industry. As in any other job, the more qualified a medical assistant is, the more he/she is valued.
